3" Sun Dial with Box

A curved scale is attached to the top of this replica sundial and the compass has a 3" diameter compass rose used to point the instrument North. The three adjustable legs allow precise leveling of the sundial. Once done the shadow of the vane falls on the local time. Both the scale and vane lie flat when you close the sundial. This solid brass Sundial is a wonderful decorative and conversationly piece; it is not intended as a scientific instrument or to precisly measure time. The sundial comes with a beautiful hardwood box, which measures 4" x 4".
